Forgiveness Meditation
(Adapted from writings of Emmet Fox. Recommended to practice once a day for a month.)
Forgiveness Meditation
I sit quietly, close my eyes and allow my mind and body to relax. I imagine myself sitting in a darkened theater, and in front of me is a small stage. On that stage I place the person I resent the most. It could be past or present, living or dead. When I see this person clearly, I visualize good things happening to this person, things that would be meaningful to them. I see them smiling and happy. I hold this image for a few minutes then let it fade away. As they leave the stage, I put myself up there. I see good things happening to me. I see myself smiling and happy. I am aware that the abundance of the Universe is available for all of us.
